A level of knowledge normally acquired through a Bachelor's Degree program in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or related area. One year completed training in an approved Medical Technology Program preferred. Registered Medical Technologists (MT) with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent preferred. Under supervision and according to established procedures performs a variety (from complex to routine) clinical laboratory tests. Sets up equipment and instruments, conducts tests and interprets test results. Assists in the orientation and training of students and new employees.
