Senior Process Engineer

Business Reengineering - Process Improvement Efforts

Owns day-to-day tactical execution of re-engineering effort at project level; that is, accountable for day-to-day project execution, deliverables, and effective & timely communication (presentation & verbal). Collaborates to achieve project & organizational goals
Effectively executes, and tracks timely completion of project activities & milestones, in alignment to BPR's Approach, methodology, standards & budget.
Facilitates development of stakeholder analysis & influencing strategies to increase buy-in & support
Develops & implements metrics to measure project impact
Uses LSS & CAP methodologies to identify, analyze, and implement sustainable process improvements
Pro-actively seeks inputs and advise from others; shares ideas
Works effectively in ambiguous situations; effectively adapts and shows initiative in support of sustainable change
Challenges the status quo & is a source of ideas. Probes beyond symptoms to find underlying cause
Manages Communication in alignment with Senior Process Eng. Guidance - Strategy & Expectations
Participates in the creation & delivery of formal project status updates, and tollgate reviews; including bi-monthly project status, and ad hoc reporting required based on Business and / or BPR dynamics
Leverages "learning's & best practices" among Team members, within and across other BPR projects

Background and Skill Requirements

Six Sigma Black Belt certified, and/or, Lean Trained with 3 Yrs of hands-on project experience preferred
Process improvement experience in the Financial Services industry preferred
Excellent written communication & presentation skills
Demonstrates Initiative, pro-active approach and informal Leadership. Able to deal with ambiguity, and highly independent without formal authority
Results/ execution orientated, with a strong sense of urgency around tangible accomplishments - measurable impact to the Business
Ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts
BA in Business, Engineering, B.S.C., Math, statistics or other quantitative discipline
Open to travel across the US … 25-50% travel, depending on project
Ability to foster cross-team learning and team building skills

Requisite Knowledge

Project Management - 6 to 8 months cross functional projects
Change management concepts and strategies, including communication, engagement, culture change, performance measurement
Facilitation - Kaisen / VSM; active listener complemented with solid interviewing skills
Ability to successfully apply and display mastery in 6-Sigma / Lean Methodology: tools, process mapping, analytics, & overall application of DMAIC project framework
Originations / Fulfillment, and/or Operations Functional Experience
Consulting experience is a plus
