Flagstar Bank is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an underwriting associate. This individual will review incoming files to ensure required documents are present upon file submission.
Performs administrative support tasks.
Updates information on the system.
Verify required documents are present on loan files submitted to the bank
Review, resolve, and respond to internal communication tickets from customer support
Perform basic file checks to ensure submission review process has been adhered to by remote staff
Correspond with department managers to communicate submission errors
Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
High school diploma or GED required.
Prior mortgage experience preferred.
Knowledge of loan disclosures and documentation a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interface work autonomously and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail.
Competently utilize computer software – MS Word, MS Excel and email are an integral part of day to day activity.
Ability to work regularly scheduled hours, 8:30 - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday, some weekend or evening hours may be required upon business need.
