Description : The CT Radiographer operates a computerized tomographic scanner, and related equipment, to produce images of any designated anatomical area. Makes independent decisions, as required for organization and scheduling of services. All essential functions performed in this position reflect the age specific needs of the geriatric, adult, and adolescent patient. Fosters patient and family centered care and nursing services in accordance with the Lifespan and The Miriam Hospital's mission, vision, values, with consideration of the life span, including all developmental stages as well as cultural patterns.
Two years of formal training in a School of Radiologic Technology
Must be Registered Radiologic Technologist with current license to work in the state of Rhode Island.
Must be a licensed CT Technologist required in the state of Rhode Island by July 1, 2013
Certification for IV injection required.
One year CT scan experience and/or in-service training. Two years Radiologic experience desirable.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span, with consideration of aging processes, human development stages, and cultural patterns in each step of the process.
