Teach courses in Educational Administration for Master's level (principalship), Certificate of Advanced Studies (superintendency), and Ph.D. level students. Use technology to support classroom instruction, delivering courses in a face-to-face, hybrid, or online formats. Supervise field experiences for Master's and CAS candidates. Assist in recruiting, monitoring candidate admissions, and promoting ISU programs. Serve on graduate student committees. Act as liaison for ISU with Department of Education, Area Education Agencies, School Administrators of Iowa, Iowa Association of School Boards, Board of Educational Examiners, and other Iowa professional educational organizations to promote projects for new programs, seminars, and workshops. Participate in grant writing.
Doctorate in Educational Administration or closely related field. Minimum of five years of successful U.S. administrative experience. Administrative licensure.
Successful experience as a superintendent, central office administrator, principal. or AEA administrator. Statewide leadership connection with involvement in major leadership initiatives and experience relating to the Iowa State Board of Education. National presence in educational administration.
