The primary responsibility for the summer student is operating lawn and open space mowing equipment including tractor mowers.
This position will be responsible for general plant outdoors clean-up, and will operate the tractor with rake to clean and rake up grass as required, operate and maintain the sprinkler system, and assist the plant mechanics when necessary. The majority of work will be outdoors on the plant site.
Candidates must meet the basic qualifications to receive consideration.
To be considered for employment as a temporary summer employee, the applicant must be willing and able to render safe, honest and diligent service in a manner keeping with good work practices, follow all company policies and procedures, all temporary summer employees will be required to meet the minimum requirements of the positions, and will be required to complete a pre-employment physical (when applicable), a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
Must be attending an institution of higher education, and have completed at least one year of college previous to temporary summer employment and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 on a scale of 4.0 through the reporting period immediately prior to application for employment. An official transcript will be required.
Must have the intent to return to college at the end of summer employment.
Limited to two (2) summers of employment.
A valid driver's license is required
