Our Rolled Products North America (RPNA) division is searching for an energetic, results-oriented individual to fill the Regional Sales Representative role. The Regional Sales Representative is responsible to develop and maintain commercial relationships with assigned customer accounts to achieve volume and revenue objectives established by the annual plan. The Regional Sales Representative role provides the opportunity for the right individual to develop and grow into a Regional Sales Manager. Responsibilities Include: Develop a fundamental understanding of Aleris operational facilities and capabilities to provide a solid foundation for commercial learning and application in the field. Support the tactical implementation of our strategic plans relating to rolling margin, volume, and conversion costs through assigned customer engagement. Seek out new customer and market opportunities and provide support to the Product Development, Planning, and Marketing groups for exploitation of such opportunities. Work with colleagues and managers to maximize capacity utilization and profit generation. Gain sufficient understanding of commercial processes which include but are not limited to forecasting, market analysis, customer feedback filtration, and competitive assessment to support the efforts of all commercial team members. Responsibly manage expenses, deployment of resources, and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) of customers assigned to your base of accounts. Develop an understanding of, and maintaining a culture and image which establishes you and your colleagues as market leaders and preferred suppliers. Gain a comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain and Inside Sales operations to effectively manage the booking process. Engage in the forecasting process and ultimately providing specific customer product forecasts as assigned by the Sales Director. Update and generate customer profiles. Requirements Include: Bachelors degree in Sales/Marketing or other related field. Masters degree preferred. 2-3 years of experience in similar sales role or in customer service/inside sales role. Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Previous experience in market, segment, or competitor analysis a plus. Experience with reporting tools such as Hyperion Business Intelligence or Tableau a plus. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time, travel may include US, Canada, and Mexico.
