The Sanford One Care Initiative & Center for Health Outcomes and Prevention Research (CHOPR; Sioux Falls) invites applications from researchers for a full time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor within Sanford Research/USD. This position will be housed amongst groups with a strong base of internal and external funding. In 2006, a historic $400 million gift by philanthropist T. Denny Sanford has allowed for expansion of Sanford Research/USD and dynamic development of programs. More recently, the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid (CMS) awarded Sanford Health a $12 million Health Care Innovation grant, which focuses on improving care and lowering costs to people enrolled in Medicare, Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), particularly those with the highest health care needs. This multi-state grant includes primary and behavioral health care in South Dakota, North Dakota and Minnesota.

We seek an outstanding scientist with experience in the health care field, including clinical outcomes, to guide the evaluation of this large project. Specifically, we seek a scientist that has experience with evaluation, including fidelity assessment, measurement development, and theoretical model development and testing. Successful candidates will have PhD, MD or MD/PhD degrees in health management, economics, public health, social or behavioral science or medicine and will join the energetic and collegial research community at Sanford Research/USD. A successful candidate will demonstrate a capacity to both guide evaluation of a large multi-state grant and also develop an independent research program through scholarly publications, grant applications and funding awards in the area of primary or secondary prevention relevant to the health of populations, communities, families, and/or individuals. Candidates will be expected to complement the interdisciplinary and collaborative nature of the growing CHOPR group and promote translational research across the Sanford system. Successful candidates will be eligible for both Sanford Research/USD and Sanford School of Medicine faculty appointments.

Significant institutional support including personnel will be provided in the new Sanford Research Center. In addition, a comprehensive compensation package will be tailored to the individual's qualifications. Sanford Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
