The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for receiving, inspecting, verifying and accepting all materials delivered to Materials Management receiving area from various vendors using different types of material handling equipment; updates electronics records on multiple inventory and receiving electronic databases.
The ideal candidate will have experience:
verifying accuracy of shipments by comparing packing slips and shipping documentation; accounting for deliveries by use of electronic scanners; utilizing proper techniques to rotate product and identify/dispose of expired stock; preparing items for return shipping and outgoing business shipments; accomplishing cycle counts to support accurate inventory.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum six (6) months experience in warehouse receiving, inventory control procedures, and operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE); to include fork lift, hand truck and pallet jack required.
One (1) year experience in warehouse receiving, inventory control procedures, and operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE); prior experience as Receiver or Storekeeper preferred.
Basic computer knowledge required.
Familiarization with electronic inventory systems preferred.
Must be able to operate large delivery trucks, automatic and standard transmissions.
Familiar with purchase orders preferred.
Certification in use of electric forklift operation, up to 4,500 lbs. preferred.
Due to insurance carrier requirements, all staff must be at least 21 years of age with a current Delaware class D driver’s license with no more than 3 moving violations or accidents in the past 3 years.
