This is a PART TIME Toll Collector position which may require working a varied schedule and at varied locations.

Examples Of Essential Duties:

This person is responsible for collecting tolls from motor vehicle operators who use the toll bridge, determining the amount of toll required according to size and type of vehicle. Making change and issuing receipts for tolls paid. Monitoring unattended automatic lanes, completing all proper forms and paperwork. Toll experience preferred. Uniforms are provided for all positions.

Typical Qualifications:

Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of the tenth grade and six months of experience as a retail cashier, bank teller, or other work involving a high-volume of cash handling transactions and making change. Must have the ability to climb stairs, move toll equipment weighting up to 25-lbs. and to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Supplemental Information:

Must be able to work in varied weather and environmental conditions. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Knowledge of basic computer operation including use of mouse and keyboard; and the ability to learn Lee County BoCC e-mail system.

Work Hours and Days (will vary) 1st Shift-7:45a.m. to 4:15p.m., Split Shift-10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. 2nd Shift-3:45p.m. to 12:15a.m., 3rd Shift-11:45 p.m. to 8:15 a.m. Facilities- Position will require working at all three facilities: Cape Coral Toll Facility, Midpoint Toll Facility, and Sanibel Toll Facility.
