This position supports the operational aspects of supporting and monitoring the Big Data platforms known as Early Warning Data Application Infrastructure (DAI) platforms. This includes implementations and Level 2 technical system support duties.
Analyze complex business issues; recommend solutions, resolve operational or systems issues.
Review new project features and perform User Acceptance testing to determine any operational support changes that must be documented and implemented
Configure and operate interface software in order to manage and monitor the Data Application Infrastructure
Create new operational processes and add them to internal documentation to conform with audit requirements
Provide technical and functional coaching to subordinate analysts
Perform application installations on assigned production systems
Manage client implementations related to system configuration
Maintain special database interface to perform ad hoc queries for Client Operations, Data Analytics, or Account Management
Validate and report SLA measurements monthly
Provide on-call support to Operations for “Level 2” escalation issues
Complies with all security policies and procedures, to ensure that the highest level of system and data confidentiality, integrity and availability is maintained
Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Programming, Networking or related field
Experience supporting applications and an ability to relate business needs to system capability
Knowledge and experience supporting enterprise processing systems and Big Data interface applications
Knowledge of Unix, Linux, Windows, Oracle, SQL, JAVA, .NET
Ability to research and quickly resolve highly technical system and application issues.
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Interest in learning and supporting new technologies
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and policy compliance.
Approved background and drug screen is required
