For new clients during implementation, Configuration Analysts are accountable to the Project Manager for the configuration and unit testing of the system to perform according to the Discovery Notebook. For existing client project/change control work, Configuration Analysts are accountable to the Service Project Manager for making changes to the system configuration associated with project requirements. For existing client work outside of projects/change controls, Configuration Analysts are accountable to the Service Delivery Manager for researching issues, updating and maintaining configuration and testing client changes. Configure the data validation, plan design, event, import, export, participant communication, and ESS rules, and functions using the Service Engine Configuration Tool. Coordinate configuration efforts with the Interface Analyst and the Benefits Export Manager. Coordinate data load and extract requests with the Benefits Export Manager and the Interface Analyst. Identify change control situations and outstanding client requirements unresolved for fit and escalate to the Project Manager or Service Project Manager. Review change control requirements and provide time and feasibility estimates to the Project Manager. Unit test configuration results using the Unit Test Checklist. Coordinate unit test efforts with the Interface Analyst. Transition client configuration to Testing Specialist for integration testing; make corrections to configuration issues in preparation for approval to move to the client acceptance test environment. Correct and unit test defects identified by the client during the User Acceptance phase. Promote and Publish as determined by security credentials. Transition documentation and knowledge to the Service Configuration Analyst. Participate in applicable transition meetings scheduled by the Project Manager. Attend scheduled status meetings, manage tasks on the project plan within agreed upon time frames, and report project status to the Project Manager or Service Project Manager.

Qualifications Required:

Ability to follow detailed project task assignments to meet overall project plans. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships; communicate effectively with internal and external contacts. Ability to coordinate with others to accomplish general objectives. Working level problem solving skills Working level analytical skills. Ability to prioritize competing priorities.

EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent in education and experience. Experience in benefits administration and/or application configuration desired. A combination of two to four years of experience in a relevant industry, a HRIS practitioner and/or experience with complex application support. Basic knowledge of MSWord, Excel, Access and database structures desired. Query creation and SQL statement background also preferred.
