Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Acts as the customer contact for day-to-day issues regarding the company's environmental and waste disposal services. Processes orders, prepares correspondence, invoicing, and fulfills customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction. Has knowledge of commonly-used
concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Talks with customers by phone or in person, receiving requests.
- Prepares and transmits reports and waste shipment summaries.
- Assists and provides support to sales representatives and with their customers.
- Maintains customer profiles and contract filing system.
- Familiar with arranging transportation services for customers.
- Writes correspondence confirming conversations with customers.
- Prepares change of address records, and issues discontinuance orders.
- Reviews, verifies, and generates customer billing and invoice criteria using the company’s operating or accounting platform.
- Works closely with site personnel and accountants to accomplish duties

HEALTH AND SAFETY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
While performing this job, the employee is responsible for continuous adherence to the Company’s Health and Safety Program. This includes: the health and safety of themselves and their co-workers, completing tasks in a safe manner, attending safety meetings
and mandatory Health and Safety training, and reporting any unsafe conditions, acts, or unanticipated hazards to their Supervisor, General Manager, or Health and Safety Specialist. Duties and responsibilities are detailed in the Health and Safety Program
Master Document and will be provided by the Health and Safety Specialist and/or the direct supervisor during new-hire orientation, training sessions or upon request.
Employees are required to report any concerns associated with environmental compliance to their supervisor, General Manager or Environmental Manager. Employees are also required to complete training in hazardous waste management procedures, emergency response
and other topics as outlined in the facility’s training program and/or an individual training matrix.
To perform the duties of this job the employee must possess good oral and written communication skills; customer orientation with a strong desire and effort on meeting the clients’ needs. Flexible to fit into a changing working environment. Complete assignments
with little oversite. Decision making skills to select an effective course of action while controlling resources and expenditures.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Annual company Health and Safety course and other site training as required
- Preferred experience in Customer Service
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information
and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages,
ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
