Ensures the development and completion of job progress milestones through scheduling. Coordinates with procurement and material mangers as well as engineering work group leads pertaining to essential. items of supply. Provides priorities for projects to guarantee completion. Contributes to forecasts and disbursements by performing schedule analysis. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within project controls. Displays core competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 5+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
Must be proficient in Primavera P6.
Must have turnaround experience.
Must be proficient in Microsoft office suite, medium to super user in MS Excel.
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience working in pulp & paper industry.
Must have a minimum working knowledge of recovery boilers.
Duties will be
Developing scope of work and establishing an execution plan around that scope of work in conjunction with site superintendents.
Perform data entry of scope of work into P6 and create logic that will reflect execution plan.
Establish and perform data entry for P6 Calendar setup, P6 Resources, P6 Activity codes.
Establish generate and refine with site superintendents input standardize gantt chart layouts, tabular reports.
Generate and maintain a MS Excel progress curve to include early budgeted hours, later budgeted hours, average budgeted hours, earned hours and reforecast (Remaining) hours.
Generate and maintain a MS Excel earned value chart to track spent hours vs. earned hours daily and cumulatively.
Must have the skill sets to analyze schedule data to determine area’s of concern and communicate those
to management. E.g. Float analysis, critical path, 3 day look ahead, potential job packages that require managements attention etc.
