Petro Star Inc.s Sourdough Fuel Retail Store Shareholder Manager Trainee Program -- The purpose of this plan is to prepare ASRC Shareholders who are interested in Retail Convenience Store Management with the experience and exposure to all aspects and the responsibilities of being a complete Convenience Store Manager. Our goal is to ensure the Management Trainee spends enough time in each specific position so they will have the fine-tuned confident skills that satisfy the Leadership/Management requirements needed for themselves, their crew and our customers.
This is a nine-month training program. It is important for the Store Manager Trainee to be proficient in each of the positions within the Store and the responsibilities associated with of each of the positions. The list below identifies all the jobs that are currently worked in our stores along with the estimated amount of time that the Management Trainee will spend within each of the respective positions. The trainee will become proficient in each of these positions.
1) Gas Station Attendant (1 month)
2) Food Court Worker (1 month)
3) Cashier (1 month)
4) Food Court Manager (1 month)
5) Assistant Manager (2 months)
6) Store Manager (3 months)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
All positions require giving great customer service by greeting and waiting on customers, providing a friendly environment, having product knowledge, processing sales efficiently, accurately and quickly. In some stores there is food preparation and filling orders while maintaining a clean and healthful environment. Safety is an overriding goal in everything we do.
Quality writing, typing and verbal communications skills.
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word.
Ability to perform multiple projects and effectively prioritize workload (good time management skills).
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Must possess effective team-player skills.
Must work well with the public.
Must be an ASRC Shareholder.
Operate cash register.
Dispense fuel / propane safely.
Work well with the public and coworkers and supervisors.
Must be customer-focused and be helpful and service-oriented.
Ability to work required work schedule on a regular basis.
Stock shelves with merchandise and mark prices on items.
Count money in cash drawer at the beginning/end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and has adequate change.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more.
Must be flexible for various work shifts.
Must be age 19 to sell tobacco products.
Must be age 21 to sell alcohol products if working at our Beaverbrook, Farmers Loop or Hilltop locations.
Must successfully complete the "We Card" program before selling any tobacco products.
Must successfully complete propane training and be able to dispense propane.
All employees who sell alcohol must successfully complete the "TAP" (Training for Alcohol Professionals) within 30 days of employment.

Work Schedule / Location :
Full time retail hourly position - approximately 40 hours per week. Will work varied hours. Will work at the Beaverbrook store in North Pole the majority of the time, but will work at other stores in Fairbanks from time to time. Will work early shifts the majority of the time (6am - 2pm or 7am - 3pm) but will also work other shifts sometimes.
