Conduct individual and group therapy as well as clinical assessments on adolescents and young adults with addictive disorders such as heroin, alcohol, cocaine, and cannabis dependence; provide treatment of co-occurring psychiatric illness such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and psychosis; oversee admissions to the young adult Intensive Outpatient Program for treatment of addictive disorders; treat parents of youth with addiction to improve coping and the ability to manage their child’s addiction; implement evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapies to young children with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, and to children with autism spectrum disorders; serve as Principal Investigator of a research study examining neuropsychological predictors and consequences of substance use in young adults and adults; write grant proposals for obtaining extramural funding to study treatments for parents of youth with addictive disorders; train and supervise clinical staff and pre- and post-doctoral fellows in the Psychiatry Department.


Must have PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology, including experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Massachusetts clinical psychology licensure or eligibility; and must have completed a one-year Pre-Doctoral Clinical Child Internship and a one-year Post-Doctoral Training in Addiction Medicine with young adults and adolescents, including neuropsychological evaluations of children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as experience with the Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach (ACRA).
