The Time Warner Cable New York City region currently seeks a Construction Manager for our Engineering Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Essential Job Functions
Will be expected to will manage construction projects within Brooklyn and Queens including but not limited to the following:
Schedule and prioritize HFC construction maintenance, new build, and relocations
Maintain and negotiate new right of way feeds
Resolve damage claims
Create and maintain periodic progress reports
Purchasing and materials management for specialty and non inventory items
Staffing management including interviewing, hiring and disciplining technicians and non union employees
Manage contractors to ensure completion of work, proper resource allocation, time management, field inspections, and quality control
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years CATV construction or operations experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of Time Warner Cable construction specifications
Must have high level communication skills to interact with city officials, customers, and legal representation of building owners.
Must be able to travel within the region daily and must have a valid driver's license.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and also walk long distances on occasional field surveys
