Under supervision of the Manager, MaineHealth Marketing & Communications, this position develops, writes and/or edits internal and external publications, marketing and communications materials for the MMC PHO and its related organizations. The incumbent works to meet marketing business objectives. Aids in website content development. Serves as a proofreader for others’ work within the department. Secures appropriate approvals and documents progress. Responsible for supporting communications plan and its goals.

This position will be based at the MaineHealth office located on Free Street in Portland.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Bachelor's degree required; concentration in English or writing strongly preferred.

  • A minimum of one to three years of experience in marketing, corporate communications, public relations, or employee communications required.

  • Website and social media experience.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with an emphasis on experience meeting and managing multiple deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Healthcare experience preferred.
