Onsite Concierge – Patient Services

Location: Red Bank, NJ & Brick, NJ

Job Status: Full Time

Position Description:
The Onsite Concierge offers white glove customer service to our clientele via face-to-face interaction, email and phone. You will provide prompt, courteous and customer-oriented services to hospital patients and their visitors. You will make recommendations and offer suggestions, as well as fulfill patient requests to satisfy their needs. This position requires exemplary hospitality skills, knowledge of the local area, and availability to work a flexible schedule.

§ Provide uncompromising service to hospital patients and their visitors by arranging personal and convenience services such as:
  • Gift wrapping, postage & shipping, photocopying, etc.
  • Coordinate purchases from the gift shop and liaising with patient reps to deliver items to the patients’ room
  • Order food from local restaurants for delivery and provide the nutritional information of the meal (if available)
  • Order flowers and gifts
  • Provide driving directions and print maps
  • Book local travel services including car and hotel suggestions and make reservations
  • Provide local box office ticket suggestions and purchases
  • Provide local dining suggestions and reservations
  • Arrange errand services
  • Make appointments with local household service providers including housecleaners, plumbers, contractors, etc.
  • Perform general information research
  • Make appointments for local pet services
  • Make local golf and spa reservations
  • Provide local destination information
  • Enter all Patient and Visitor requests into a central database
§ Project an approachable and professional image at all times
§ Maintain petty cash
§ Identify and provide relevant knowledge and insight to Patients and Visitors regarding the services that we offer
  • Promote meaningful relationships through engaging and informed conversation with Patients and Visitors via face to face interaction, phone and email
  • Track accomplishments and challenges, constantly evaluating the service levels and reports to supervisor
  • Consistently provide best in class customer service in a fast paced, structured environment
  • Maintain a general understanding of events occurring on the property
  • Respond to patient and visitor requests in a professional, courteous and timely manner, without exception
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/ Certification: HS Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience Required/Preferred:
  • 2 years of customer service experience; prior front desk, concierge, or other hospitality experience preferred
  • Knowledge of MS office, Microsoft Word, Internet searching, and keyboarding
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills as well as the proven ability to provide quality service in a fast-paced environment
