Government Insuring department of Flagstar Bank is accepting resumes for the position of Government Insuring Specialist.
Employee’s basic function will be to review FHA/VA closed loan packages and complete endorsement in FHA/VA system.
Employee will be responsible for:
Performing pre-endorsement review of government loans to determine compliance with FHA/VA program guidelines.
Accurately identifying and recording Errors and Omissions noted during review in the system’s checklist. Entering comments and remarks, recording underwriting deficiencies etc.
Entering loan level data to the web-based FHA/VA insuring systems and completing endorsement.
Putting together and mailing a complete FHA Case Binder to HUD’s homeownership centers when requested for audit.
The manager may assign additional responsibilities associated with post closing and/or insuring. Employee must display flexibility and willingness to learn new functions and products.
Must possess a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience in FHA/VA post closing and/or insuring is preferred.
Knowledge of mortgage loan documentation and understanding of basic mortgage stages is extremely important and beneficial.
Excellent interpersonal, written and phone communication skills, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to changes easily.
Excellent attention to detail and good organization skills. Ability to prioritize the work based on loans submission dead lines.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and email.
