Specific Job Description
This position will serve as an Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) of course/curriculum development and delivery for the Office of Air Traffic Technical Training (AJI). The ISD will develop instructor-led and web-based courses. The ISD will work with Senior Instructional Designers, SME’s, and multimedia developers to support the analysis, design, and development of training products.
The ISD will: create storyboards and write scripts; determine appropriate media elements to meet the needs of the learners; develop learning objectives and assessment items; work with subject matter experts and multimedia developers to develop content to meet the learning objective; and support standardizing content through the creation of shareable content objects to ensure consistent instruction.

Plans, develops, and implements technical product training programs for customers, and/or employees, and field support personnel. Technical training may include standard, repeatable modules, customized and new product modules. Obtains information from customer and technical organizations, engineering, software and product requirements to prepare training programs; prepares lesson plans and training materials; designs product demonstrations; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions, product demonstrations, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. May administer tests. Continuously revises lesson plans to ensure course material reflect product features, meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. May include military trainers.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
