Sports Media Group, a Gannett Company, is seeking an Ad Operations Manager. The Ad Operations Manager is responsible for the technical set up, testing and launch of USA TODAY Sports digital marketing campaigns across owned and operated sites and partner sports sites.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and approve online insertion orders, and confirm Media Plan matches I.O.
Verify and confirm that all campaign, creatives and tag collateral for each order have been received, have been tested and match I.O requirements.
Collect and organize campaign assets.
Traffic, QA & launch all ad creatives (HTML, Flash files & 3rd party tags) and campaigns in DART for Publishers, including remnant and video campaigns. Coordinate with USAT order management on status.
Work closely with Affiliate Account Manager to provide publisher tags when necessary. Set up new publishers, admeld tags and publisher tags when new sites are added to network and troubleshoot if problems arise.
Troubleshoot and resolve ad delivery and technical issues. Liaison with publisher and network management teams to oversee proper implementation of campaigns (ad tags, click tracking, etc.) browser sites and confirm campaign execution.
Ongoing quality assurance support for advertising campaigns and creative; ensure all live ads function properly. Work with publisher account manager to do so.
Coordinate and communicate with publisher account manager to maximize publisher revenue.
Communicate to network management and/or sales immediately if campaign needs fixing and/or missing requirements.
Institute best practices, improve workflow and efficiency and recommend process enhancement
Work closely with internal teams to develop new and exciting ad units and integrations to offer to advertisers.
Q&A and maintain ad server. Consistently check on publisher default levels and manage accordingly.
Check ad server for any red flags, or obvious mistakes.
Once campaign is live grab screenshots for sales team and Account Manager.
During idle times, reviews and investigates network to more deeply understand network sites and sports channels.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires Bachelor's degree
5+ years experience and/or training in a related field
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve ad delivery and technical issues.
Excellent communication skills with team members, technical partners and management.
Proven leadership with ability to manage effectively
Ability to traffic, QA & launch all ad creatives using HTML, Flash files & 3rd party tags, and campaigns in DART
