Job Summary: Plans, directs, supervises, and coordinates work Human Resource activities, specializing in the areas of employment, labor relations and employee relations. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: · Advises managers and employees on state and federal employment regulations, collective agreements, benefit and compensation policies, personnel procedures and classification programs. · Negotiates collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers, and mediate labor disputes and grievances. · Serves as the first line of contact for management and assists them in ensuring that their employee issues and inquiries have been thoroughly resolved in a prompt, professional and courteous manner and in accordance with Access Midstream, State, and Federal guidelines, policies, and regulations. · Provides guidance and direction on employee career development to managers, which includes providing direction on setting performance standards and assessing performance. · Provides input to the strategic direction of HR, participates in planning projects and strategy. · Responsible for being able to perform the work of any Employee Relations Specialist in his/her absence. · Monitor and or provide training, performance assessment, coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development. · Participates in decisions involving hiring, promotion, compensation administration, and termination of employment. · Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations. · Performs other duties as assigned by Director-Human Resources. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Minimum Requirements: · Possess solid knowledge of management-labor relations, the principles, practices, laws, regulations and procedures of Human Resources Management. · Strong knowledge of Federal and State employment labor laws (ADA, ADEA, EO11246, EEO, FMLA, FLSA, State Unemployment Compensation, State Worker’s Compensation, OSHA, etc.) · Able to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships · Excellent written and verbal English communications skills. · Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines. · Able to proactively initiative, embrace, champion, and drive change in a fast paced environment. · Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive long distances. · Demonstrates advanced computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications. Able to learn company specific applications. · Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts. Preferred: · Knowledge of the oil and gas industry. Education & Work Experience: Minimum Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. · Five to Seven years experience in Human Resources. · PHR or SPHR certification. Preferred: · Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field. · Five plus years of experience in Human Resources with three years experience in a leadership position.
