My client has an immediate need for a Network Computer Support at their facility.
The ideal candidate is to provide a single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the organization's desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment (including but not limited to PC, Laptops, phones, printers and scanners) to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via remote access) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.
- Provide day-to-day technical customer support to employees for internal desktop systems software and hardware and network infrastructure.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot desktop systems, workstations, and network issues.
- Maintain documentation and training material for supported services.
- Provides support to other IT groups.
Ideal candidate should be self-sufficient and capable of creating and completing projects in accordance with a schedule. Ideal candidate should also demonstrate the ability to organize and prioritize multiple issues that may occur. Must possess knowledge of computer hardware repair and maintenance.
Ideal candidate must possess an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (2000, XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7), Internet Explorer and key Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook 2003/2007, Word, Excel, and Access..
Strong networking background will be necessary to diagnose and troubleshoot networking issues
