The University Development Center Student Engineer will work with full-time engineers in the area of Flight Management Systems requirement validation, software development, and software verification responsibilities. In this role, you will follow an individual work plan and meet day-to-day short-term objectives while resolving issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Essential Responsibilities
In addition, you will:
  • Execute, with guidance from full-time engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
  • Document and communicate results of technical data generated
  • Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives
  • Share engineering information and promote open dialogue
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Create new and maintain existing test procedures, test data, and traceability matrix to provide test coverage for requirements based testing and / or source code structural coverage testing
  • Perform formal software acceptance testing and generate an associated test report

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • Must be an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited college or university and have completed your freshman year pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • GPA 3.0 or above
