Position Summary

Formulates and implements strategic clinical informatics initiatives across the Spectrum Health System, coordinating identification of and implementation of leading practices in quality and informatics. Manages Consumer & eHealth, Transitions of Care, Knowledge Management, Documentation Improvement, Usability and Human factors; as well as eMR centered care. While primarily serving the medical group and employed ambulatory physicians, also provides consultation to independent physician groups with regard to all aspects of clinical quality including CMS, and other drivers of the changing health care informatics environment. Provides quality leadership and direction to Spectrum Health’s efforts in building a clinically integrated organization in partnership with SHMG, affiliated and private physicians. Provides both leadership and subject matter expertise in all System quality initiatives.


Basic Qualifications:
Education - Ph.D,MD or Professional Degree in M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school, completion of a residency from an accredited institution and board certification
Experience - 10 years of experience in a large group practice and/or an integrated health system ,5 years of experience leadership experience in complex health care organization with demonstrated success in the management of clinical improvement and patient safety
Licenses - Other\Current licensure in Michigan
