More about your role: Under the direction of the Engineering Manager the Product Engineer is responsible for ownership of furniture product throughout the entire lifecycle of item.

Take the design concept and complete engineering drawings, mock-ups of the product, defines specs and defines options available

Initiates the interaction with manufacturing operations to build prototypes and prepare for first production run

Oversees all cost reduction methods throughout product lifecycle until the product is discontinued.

Experience with 3D modeling software solutions, which can integrate well with Revit.

Work well with Estimating, Project Management, Design, and Production to develop.

Contributes to furniture manufacturing process to allow for seamless integration with the tools used by Designers during our selling process.

Possess effective communication skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks and aggressive due dates.

What Else You'll Bring to the Table In addition to the qualifications detailed above, you'll need:

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar degree

Minimum of 2-5+ years experience in engineering position at a furniture of fixture manufacturing organization

proficient in the Microsoft Office products, Revit, AutoCad, Photoshop, 3DSMAX

Experience with an Epicor® ERP software platform (Vantage or Epicor 9.0) a plus.
