Blackboard Transact ™ is an integrated technology platform that helps improve the student experience and campus safety, while helping streamline business operations and increasing revenue. The Blackboard Transact platform includes capabilities within two integrated modules:
Commerce Management : facilitates campus ID card issuance, cashless payment processing, account management and reporting on-campus, off-campus, and online.
Security Management : monitors all campus activity using integrated door access control, video surveillance and mass notification capabilities.

Blackboard Transact’s Product Development team produces the products that empower campus commerce and security. Using both industry standard and cutting edge technologies our developers are constantly innovating, bringing the latest in technological capability to campuses across the globe.
The Software Engineer will participate within a larger team driving the success of the group. Specifically s/he will be responsible for:
Taking architecturally approved designs/prototypes and implementing in existing code structure.
Owning quality and performance objectives for web services and automated job processors.
Evaluating defects reported from production and quality assurance while diagnosing and debugging the system end-to-end.
Participating in complete design through implementation lifecycle for future requirements.
