Currently, we are seeking a talented Sr. Learning Design Analyst to join the Life Insurance Division in Aliso Viejo. The Life Insurance Division works with financial and insurance professionals to give families and businesses the life insurance coverage needed to help meet important financial protection, wealth accumulation, and wealth preservation goals.
Working independently, the Sr. Learning Design Analyst gathers gathers and analyzes sophisticated, detailed data from all areas within the life insurance business to develop and implement a wide variety of learning solutions.
. Integrates business knowledge and uses instructional design principles/methods, online course development standards, and adult learning theory to design, develop, and implement a variety of learning solutions
. Interacts with Life Division Vice Presidents, Managers, Supervisors, and Associates to identify and address training needs
. Uses knowledge of and experience with authoring software to create and publish interactive online learning solutions across a variety of platforms for Life Division-wide audiences and departments
. Applies knowledge and skill in using media equipment as well as media editing software to create a variety of media-rich components to use within online learning courses
. Effectively interacts with project team and leverages interpersonal skills and knowledge of project management to lead multi-month to year-long division-wide initiatives and/or other sophisticated training and development projects requiring depth of knowledge of various products, business procedures, and departments
. Audiences for training and/or documentation deliverables can include senior management, managers, supervisors, and associates.
FACTORS FOR SUCCESS:
• 10+ years instructional design and online learning development experience
•BA or BS degree or equivalent, related work experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design theory, adult learning principles, instructor-led delivery skills, online media development acumen, and project management skills
•Demonstrated effective writing skills including experience in creation of online training narratives and storyboards
• Working knowledge of various online authoring software (Camtasia, Captivate, etc.) and media development applications (Fireworks, Flash, After Effects etc.) and be able to use applications at 75% of their capability
. Experience is publishing online training to a Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
• Life insurance industry knowledge/experience in organization, products, marketing, distribution, sales design, regulations, and/or administration is preferred
•Experience in shooting and editing still photography and video is highly desired. Experience in providing voiceover audio is a plus
