The Goodyear Brand Marketing Specialist represents a critical role for the Consumer Marketing Organization. The Brand Marketing Specialist role will provide important capability and capacity to the entire Marketing Organization (beyond the Goodyear Brand) by: i) leading/owning ongoing long-term marketing program(s) and ii) 'leading and owning' key processes that span the consumer marketing functions 'back room'; primarily budget, annual marketing and promotion planning, and business tracking. Leadership, a strong problem solving acumen, and the ability to quickly assess a process and put into place necessary improvements will enable this person to have an immediate impact on the organization. The incumbent will have experience in managing large and complex budgets in a fluid real-time manner as well as tangible examples of complex data analysis and problem solving. This job will provide substantial foundational experience for a career in many commercial disciplines at the Goodyear company.
Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Marketing, Finance or Business
Minimum 3 to 5+ years experience with proven results in driving profit through marketing programs
Experience managing a large budget across multiple brands / product lines preferred
Ability to work with multiple levels of the organization and team members
Experience in public relations and event planning preferred
Proven experience managing vendor relationships in message, brand, etc
Demonstrate skill in connecting with others through effective listening and observing
Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, presentation and negotiation skills
Strong proof-reading and creative vision
Knowledge of creative/advertising programs and of Microsoft Office products
Strong background in analytics and understanding program measurement and ROI
Proven experience maintaining the budget and tracking P&L spend in marketing
