Position Summary: Provide leadership and direction to personnel and functions in the Adult Services Center (serving students age 40+).

Typical duties and responsibilities:-Plan, implement and evaluate departmental goals and objectives; develop and recommend policies and procedures to ensure that prospective students are served in a timely manner and are tracked (statistically) through graduation.

  • Plan, implement and monitor a plan for courteous and prompt expedition of service to adult students.
  • Plan and coordinate initiatives with various college departments to ensure non-duplication of efforts
  • Conduct annual evaluation; review statistical data pertaining to student enrollment and retention; report findings to administration
  • Serve as liaison with business/industry, and civic and government organizations, and the Chattanooga State Technology Center
  • Manage all functions of personnel actions within the department (selection, training, professional development, performance evaluation, etc.)
  • Manage the development, execution and evaluation of special projects
  • Plan and coordinate administrative functions of the office; develop and maintain annual budget; ensure compliance with appropriate policies and procedures; manage use of facilities
  • Provide leadership in scheduling and meeting deadlines for implementation of program objectives
  • Participate in strategic planning, risk management, QEP and accreditation responsibilities within the Student Affairs Division.
  • Participate in a wide range of services (committees and task forces, etc.)
  • Promote, support and participate in student recruitment and retention efforts
  • Develop promotional and recruiting materials
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned sssss
