General Description
Monitors and responds to hardware, software, server, and network problems. Provides the routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities (including power, software, communications machinery, lines, modems, and terminals). Monitors and controls the performance and status of the network resources.

Responsibilities
  • Provides the routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities (including power, software, communications machinery, lines, modems, and terminals).
  • Monitors and controls the performance and status of the network resources.
  • Server Administration
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Correlating security events across a WAN. Operating vulnerability assessment tools (e.g. Retina, ISS, HBSS, etc.). Providing security analysis and solutions in a WAN/LAN environment. Familiarity with DOD security policies and procedures. Ability to work as part of an integrated network operations and support team.
Work Experience Requirements

  • Experience working with Networks, Network applications and Tools
  • Experience with Active Directory, server administration, remote access tools
  • SAN experience
  • Working knowledge of Citrix and V-M ware
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience. Four years of applicable professional technical experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
Skill Requirements
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks within time constraints
  • Ability to work independently and creatively, using independent judgment
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees
  • Ability to work well either alone or as part of a team
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Good troubleshooting skills
