Executive-level, professional sales position responsible for the sale of large, complex bundled energy conservation projects resulting from facility infrastructure improvements in a team environment.
The successful candidate will build and manage long-term client relationships with executive-level decision makers in the Governmental, Institutional, Educational and Healthcare sectors in Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands and Dominican Republic.
Responsibilities include development and execution of strategic sales plans for assigned market sectors and targeted accounts with minimal supervision to achieve profitable sales, revenue and client satisfaction.
Provide Market Team leadership to consistently move sales opportunities through sales process to successful close within acceptable time frames and within defined profit targets.
Establish, cultivate, maintain and leverage long-term relationships with executive levels of assigned targets and market sectors to achieve sustained business portfolio and order flow.
Previous executive-level sales experience of intangible solutions required.
Previous experience in sales of energy conservation programs highly desirable.
Candidate must possess strong leadership skills in a team environment to provide market team direction and coordination of activities to consistently move sales opportunities through internal sales process and client procurement steps to successfully close business within acceptable timeframes and define profit targets.
Typical sales cycle is 6-18 months.
Excellent verbal and written communications (both English and Spanish), and organizational skills required.
Working knowledge of MS Office, Lotus Notes Domino preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related discipline required. MBA preferred. A minimum of five to seven years of progressive field sales experience at the C-level. Excellent initiative, and interpersonal communications skills. Demonstrated ability to influence the market at key levels. Ability to travel 50%.
