SR. RELEASE ENGINEER

Looking for someone with a solid understanding of release processes, familiarity with continuous integration/deployment, and has demonstrated success release teams in the past. We are interested in knowing the role you have played in release teams in the past and the processes, policies, and tools you implemented to get software delivered efficiently and reliably.

In this role, you would report directly to the Release Manager where you will help with the deployment of our products into production environments. Additionally, your responsibilities will also include ensuring source code integrity, maintaining software builds, implementing and enforcing best practices in release management.

Must have a minimum of a BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Must have 7+ solid years in a formal build & release management environment.
Must have experience in software configuration & release management, administrating and managing SCM tools (CVS, SVN, ClearCase, Perforce)
Experience in managing complex build, software releases and change management.
Experience in Agile/Scrum development process.
Experience in Linux/Unix (Debian/Ubuntu preferred)
Experience in using defect and project tracking tool such as JIRA (or comparable).
Experience in high service availability with 24x7 operations work environment.
Experience in build and release automation with one or more scripting languages (Shell, Perl, Python, etc.).
Experience in GNU Make, SCons, Ant, or Maven.
Experience in continuous integration such as Hudson (or comparable).
Familiar with software development cycle and delivery management with analytical and problem solving skills.
Team player is a must and the ability to work independently with minimum guidance.
Flexible and able to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
Experience in Linux/Unix system administration is preferred.
Experience in building Linux software packages is preferred.
ITIL Certification.
