Position Purpose:

The Human Resources Manager will partner with functional Operational managers, providing HR leadership in support of organizational goals and objectives. The HR Director is responsible for managing multiple aspects of human resources including employee relations, talent management, performance and compensation management, change management, associate engagement and organizational design and restructuring for a 24x7 print / mail and credit card production operation consisting of 250 employees, with the goal of developing a workforce that achieves excellence in driving business results.

The HR Manager is an innovative business partner who relates well with associates and leaders at all levels of the organization, striking the balance between business leader and employee advocate. The Manager will utilize analytical skills, effective communication and teamwork to achieve business results, identifying opportunities to implement best practices and improve operational efficiencies through HR programs.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports To : SVP / GM Operations and VP Human Resources
Peers: Local Management team, HR Leaders as well as Corporate HR
Primary Working Relationships: Operational Function Management and Associates, Corporate HR

Responsibilities:

- Provide hands on management of associate issues relat in g to per f ormance and other matters .
-Effective and accurate management of processes including EEOC, FMLA, workers compensation, etc.
-Ensure effective HR Review, succession planning, and development of the leadership pipeline
-Ensure consistent quality in selection, assimilation and training of exempt and non-exempt employees within the facility
- Pa r tner w i th Operational leaders on the Talent Review p r ocess, and the creation of development plans for associates within the group
-Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws for employment practices and policies, salary and wage administration, safety and environmental compliance and required training.
-Facilitating, monitoring, and supporting the performance management process in a timely and effective manner, including code calibration
-Monitor/assess the e ff ectiveness of huma n resources programs and processes , u s i ng metrics to eva l uate progress , and t aking actions as appropr i ate to achieve improvement .
-D i rect, execute or coordinate w i th client managers, on t h e proper h andl i ng of employee relations issues, disciplinary actions and resolution of associate complaints in an effort to provide fair and consiste n t treatment.
-Manage large-scale projects for client groups, such as performance r eview process, compensation/merit review cycle, associate engagement survey, and organizational restructuring.
-Providing partnership and counsel on all terminations and demotions
-Implementing associate recognition programs
-Conducting meetings and following up to ensure effective execution on issues
-Taking a leadership role in the execution of organizational change initiatives
-Serving as a first responder for labor, workplace violence, and other similar events

Position Qualifications:

-Underg r adua t e degree in Human Resources, Business or re l a t ed f i eld is required
- -SPHR/PHR ce r tification preferred

Job Related Experience:

-Minimum of 8 years of progressive human resources generalist experience required .
-Experience in field r o l e i s desirable .
-Experience managing a large number of non-exempt employees within a manufacturing, operations or retail environment which runs 24 x 7, 365 days a year
