The Certified Nursing Assistant is a vital member of the patient care team. In accordance with the patient/family plan of care, the Certified Nursing Assistant, under the direction of the Registered Nurse, collects patient information and provides direct patient care that contributes significantly to achievement of patient and family outcomes. As a member of the direct care team, the Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible and accountable for complete and accurate data collection and recording, completion of routine and delegated direct care activities, and communicating and collaborating with the Registered Nurse to prioritize workload so that patient care outcomes are achieved. The Certified Nursing Assistant provides care in accordance with Saint Clare's Hospital Mission, Standards of Care, and Policies and Procedures.
The incumbent will:
Be a responsible member of the patient care team and commits to problem solving, working collaboratively and accepting responsibilities as delegated.
Together with the RN, establishes mutual care priorities on a shift-by-shift basis so that desired patient outcomes are achieved.
Work collaboratively with the Registered Nurse while completing focused technical skills and procedures to support therapeutic or diagnostic interventions.
Consistently demonstrate accurate and complete documentation.
Provide evidence of contribution to the improvement of patient care.
Participate in process improvement activities by collecting data, offering input or active membership on project teams.
This is a part-time, 20-hour-per-week position with variable shifts and every other weekend and holiday included. Please apply today!
High school graduation or equivalent is preferred
Completion of a Nursing Assistant course is required
Work experience providing direct patient care is preferred
Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Wisconsin is required
Current BLS certification required
