The Assistant Director of Admissions for Early Entrance Programs will lead the admissions and enrollment effort for the FlexMed program, a newly developed program that offers early admission to Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The Assistant Director will develop and implement a recruitment, admission, and conversion strategy that is data-driven to achieve the enrollment goals for the FlexMed program. This position will have oversight of the design and implementation of admissions projects as we introduce this program to a national audience. Ultimately, the Assistant Director will be responsible for the daily admissions-related work including recruitment, data management, tracking, and matriculation of the applicants accepted into the FlexMed program. This position will support all partnerships developed with universities and high schools nationwide and will be based in Admissions and work in close collaboration with Enrollment Services and Student Services.
-Oversee program application development and implementation
-Collaborate with the Associate Dean for Admission to create a system for timely application review and appropriate follow-up with prospective applicants about admissions decisions
-Manage the recruitment, admission and application process that will effectively engage and motivate potential applicants to apply to Icahn School of Medicine's FlexMed program
-Form relationships with programs that will provide pipelines for recruitment of potential FlexMed applicants
-Maintain contact with prospective applicants using all available communication tools to maximize the pool of applicants
-Assist in the planning of admissions events geared to increasing the pool of applications for FlexMed
-Track and manage admissions data in order to inform admissions strategies
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred
-5-7years of experience with progressive responsibility
-Experience in higher education, preferably in admissions, marketing management, enrollment, recruitment or related areas
-Strong project management and implementation skills
-Strong interpersonal and written communication, presentation, and problem solving skills
-Excellent attention to detail with proven ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
-Demonstrated leadership competency and ability to develop productive working relationships with multiple constituencies (faculty, staff, students, etc)
-Excellent database management skills
