Sodexo has an exciting career opportunity for a Food Service Manager in Las Vegas, Nevada. At Sunrise Hospital Sodexo manages the Food and Nutrition Services for this 690 bed hospital. Our Food Service Manager will have primary responsibility to manage the kitchen and utility staff, ensuring compliance with food and physical safety, sanitation standards, NSF audits and regulatory compliance at all times. Work schedule will include weekends and primary shift will be the closing shift. Some cash management experience preferred. Responsibilities include:
Qualifications for the Food Service Manager include computer literacy, kitchen operations experience, full HACCP knowledge and ServSafe certification. Prior food service management experience in a high volume, fast paced environment managing collective bargaining employees preferred.
- Ensuring Sodexo food and physical safety standards
- Labor Management and scheduling
- Developing kitchen and café cleaning schedules
- Assisting with café operations
- Other duties as assigned by the General Manager
Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
