Pipeline Safety Engineer will support gas gathering and gas transmission assets which include Ohio Valley Midstream Assets, Appalachian Basin Assets, and Laurel Mountain Assets located in New York, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania and will ensure that work conducted is compliant with applicable Federal and State pipeline safety regulations (e.g., PHMSA/OPS, New York State, etc) and will ensure that pipeline system is operated in a safe manner.

Reviews and interprets pipeline safety regulations;

Provides coordination and support during regulatory agency inspections and construction inspections;

Conducts internal audit inspections and prepares summary/findings reports;

Provide SME review of the Company Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manual DOT driven policies and procedures;

Reviews and approves written plans for strength tests/pipeline uprates, and determines and documents MAOPs,

Coordinates the identification and evaluation of time independent threats with Pipeline Integrity and Operations as part of the integrity management program

Provides pipeline safety expertise as needed for the creation of programs designed to minimize deficiencies and comply with regulations, systems, etc.,

Responds to facility/pipeline incidents and coordinates communication and reporting with applicable state agencies.

Participates in industry groups to represent WGP, as necessary.

Position Location: Moon Township, PA. Position reports to the Manager, Pipeline Safety - Houston, TX.

Position will be filled at the level commensurate with knowledge and experience. Prefer candidate to possess knowledge and experience in pipeline construction, pipeline operations, and pipeline safety regulations. Must have excellent oral and written skills, the ability to organize, coordinate and negotiate solutions, as well as, skills in computer applications. Must be detailed oriented and able to instruct, analyze, evaluate, and provide technical interpretations while at the same time deal with ambiguity and maintain integrity and trust with internal and external customers. This position will be filled at a level commensurate with the candidate's skill and experience.

Education Level :
Bachelor's Level Degree and experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.

Williams Corporation will pay relocation costs for this position.

Travel Percentage - 25% to 50%
