The Director of Admissions Business Systems is responsible for providing technical guidance, support, expertise and advanced reporting, (extraction/analysis) for the systems used in the Admissions Department.
Reporting to the Dean of Admissions, this individual seeks innovative and effective ways to utilize technology to make operations more efficient and effective. The incumbent will analyze, design, develop, plan and implement technological strategies, workflow changes, business process development for Datatel and 3rd party products in collaboration with the admissions staff and IT department.
The Director of Admissions Business Systems provides training for all staff, increasing knowledge on the advanced uses of technology. This individual is in charge of admission and enrollment reporting/analysis for the Office of Admissions including recruitment, and other enrollment data from pertinent student service areas and 3rd party databases. This individual leads efforts for data-informed decisions, and coordinates technology needs for areas that promote recruitment and enrollment strategies. This individual is the unit liaison with the University’s Information Technology team.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct research; coordinate, generate and analyze Enrollment Management data/reports to support data-driven planning, management and decision-making processes within the Admissions Division.
Analyze and assess data/reports that address the following: enrollment trends, goals and objectives; financial Aid/scholarships data/reports.
Utilize historical institutional data/trends to assist in the development and implementation of short-and long-term projections, needs and challenges within enrollment management.
Prepare and/or design queries for data analysis for weekly admissions and enrollment reports.
Serve as a subject matter expert/ Team lead for all Admissions Systems in working with Colleague and Recruiter
Meet Admissions internal needs for institutional data mining, research, analysis and interpretation.
Provide vision, leadership and support in technology for the admissions office recruitment efforts, serve as the technology liaison, and work with the University’s IT team and works to maximize the capabilities of enrollment management systems through integration.
Act as project manager for implementation/ upgrade related projects, coordinate testing and assist in preparation of procedural documentation.
Performs analyses, identifies problems and solutions, makes recommendation and evaluates results relating to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of existing business practices.
Provide End user training and departmental procedural documentation as needed.
Work closely with the Communications Director and Operations Manager to make sure that day to day operations are run smoothly.
Bachelors Degree Required
Experience in Datatel Colleague and with any CRM preferred
Experience in Business Analysis and Systems Analysis with an Institution in Higher Education
Prior experience in working with Admissions office is preferred
