Responsibilities include:
Review and process order requests in a timely manner to support fast-paced eCommerce operations. You will need to ensure accuracy, optimum delivery times, and pricing.
Manage the purchasing function to maximize cost savings. This will include maintaining shipping supplies and confirming dimensions and weights for best shipping method selection (FedEx, UPS, LTL).
Identify scheduling and/or consolidation issues and prioritize shipping dates and methods.
Maintain proper inventory levels and monitor inventory schedules for supplies, back ordered stock levels, and overstock items.
Establish and maintain optimal working relationships with our vendors. Comply with the Return Merchandise Authorization procedures to ensure timely returns and credits.
Assist as needed in all areas of purchasing, inventory control and logistics and support other departments such as customer support, receivables, and accounting. Prepare weekly and monthly reports for the buying group.
Manage new product demands, schedules and procurement needs.
Education/ Experience: Bachelor's degree. Recent grad preferred. Computer and internet fluency a must.
Skills and competencies: Interpersonal and written communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently but also as part of a small team. Ability to analyze technical data and to accurately document and record information. Knowledge of supply chain management.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Previous experience with Quickbooks a plus.
