The Center for Technology and Behavioral Health (CTBH) within the Psychiatric Research Center at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth (www.c4tbh.org) seeks a new PhD who intends to develop a research career focused on the development, evaluation, and dissemination of technology-based therapeutic tools targeting substance use disorders and/or other areas of behavioral health. This individual will join a research team to primarily work on the development and implementation of research projects, statistical analyses, and manuscript writing in this area of research.
Skills & Knowledge:
Comprehensive knowledge of research methods and techniques. Knowledge of benchmark and evidence-based treatment services. Exceptional organizational and management skills to plan and organize the research approach and project parameters. Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as a team member. Expertise in developing and writing scientific articles, and book chapters Excellent scientific writing skills. Expertise with report and technical paper writing. Expertise in proposal development, writing, and submission. Knowledge of computer software applications used for research investigations. Ability to conduct data analyses using SPSS, and/or SAS, Ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software (MS Excel, PPT, Word, Access) and graphics and publishing programs (Adobe Illustrator, MS Visio).
2 years of research experience in health care, social service, and/or field research, or the equivalent. Previous project-related work involving complex project design and communications is preferred. Proven success in publishing Proven leadership in managing research Proven ability to perform independent research.
PhD in Behavioral or Social Science field. Experience in mhealth, and/or addiction research a strength.
