Job Description: Provide guidance and training to personnel in establishing operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures and techniques. Install, checkout, operate, maintain, repair, and modify communications and Audio/Visual equipment for the U.S. Army Military Operations on Urbanized Terrain Instrumentation System(MOUT-IT) . Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and recommend corrective action. Work as a "Team Member" to operate and maintain an environment for soldiers to train in a mock urban setting. Maintain grounds and building maintenance to include construction. Will be asked to assist and provide technical direction to other employees. Provide written input for periodic reports.
Required Skills: Use Raytheon's MAXIMO program (after training class) to log work orders and initiate procurement requests to replace parts and materials used. Prepare After Action Review Briefings. Prepare Audio/Visual Take-Home Packages. Installation and repair of communications and Audio/Visual hardware; "Run" wire & fiber optic cables; and troubleshoot electronic systems. Repair/replace faulty connectors to surveillance cameras, motion detectors, remote speakers, microphones and switchers. Take test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers and oscilloscopes. Operate a video editing station. Operate and maintain workstations controlling battlefield effects, targetry, and audio/video special effects. Operate and maintain external and internal day/night surveillance cameras, motion detectors, remote speakers and microphones. Ability to make electronic repairs to the components of the MOUT-IS.
Desired Skills: 3-5 five years electronic repair. Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment as appropriate. Ability to perform duties in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind) and at height (towers and phone poles). Willing to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Will be required to work in compliance with OSHA and Raytheon safety policies and procedures as appropriate. Perform other tasks assigned by the Raytheon Team Leader in a manner that enhances customer satisfaction. Must be able to obtain a valid state drivers license and maintain post driving privileges.
Required Education (including Major ): High School Diploma. Vocational or Technical Certification desired.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. SECRET Security Clearance.
