The DuPont, Belle site has a current need for Laboratory Analysts. The 84-year-old DuPont Belle plant is located just outside Charleston, WV and employs more than 400 DuPont employees and about 150 resident contractors. The site produces a wide range of products and applications found in plastics manufacturing, home and personal care products, crop protection chemicals, automotive products and industrial manufacturing. Some DuPont products manufactured on site include Methyl Amines, DMF/DMAC, DME/DMS, Glycolic Acid, Vazo® and Hexazinone.
The site is also home to the polyglycolic acid (PGA) facility owned by the Kureha Corporation of Japan, a specialty plastics and chemicals manufacturer.
The Laboratory Analyst position will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Perform all tasks in a safe manner including handling of highly toxic/corrosive materials in small quantities.
- Run and interpret physical and analytical tests for all products.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair instruments when necessary.
- Enter data into the LIMS computer system and input releases in SAP.
- Perform all job tasks that support running the test methods. (Cleaning glassware, making solutions, using excel spreadsheets, etc.)
- Write or modify procedures and forms as appropriate.
- Assist in setting up new equipment and test methods.
- Perform calibrations and control charting according to ISO Standards.
- Assist in development of trace testing methods.
- Inventory and order supplies.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years experience, or Associates degree in chemistry or science with 2+ years
laboratory experience, or Bachelor degree in chemistry or science with/without experience
Computer literate and familiar with basic computer programs (i.e.
Microsoft Excel - formulas, email systems, Microsoft Word)
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment issues,
independently or through a team process
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong mathematical skills including algebra
Demonstrated ability to work while wearing personal protective
