CANBERRA is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our location in Los Alamos, NM.
Responsibilities and duties include:
Daily generation and preparation of Non Destructive Assay (NDA) Batch Data Reports (BDR).
Data entry associated with the tracking of Real Time Radiography (RTR) and Non Destructive Assay (NDA) daily production statistics.
Prepare and distribute customer requested daily and weekly production reports.
Track status of Weekly Interfering Matrix measurement progress.
Track and assist in the scheduling of host site training for Mobile Characterization (MCS) NDA and RTR personnel.
Track vehicle maintenance and ensure services are performed at required intervals.
Assist in DOE and EPA audit document preparation and maintenance.
Operate and maintain office systems/equipment and maintain adequate office supplies.
Maintain office accountability log including visitor and vendor reception.
Maintain vehicle and office safety walk down schedules.
Coordinate the daily transmittal of BDR's to external Expert Analysts.
Maintain work space safely in accordance with Canberra and AREVA safety requirements.
Coordinate the resolution of any building safety issues and maintenance requests.
Organize and coordinate meetings, conference calls and travel arrangements for Los Alamos staff.
Function as a contact between staff and management in absence of management.
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
Some post high school coursework in business or technology and/or computer related administrative certification and 3 years of experience. In lieu of post high school education or certification, total of 5 years related work experience may be considered.
Experience with Microsoft Office software suite and SharePoint - spreadsheet development, word processing, and database management.
Attention to detail is a must as our customers requires a high level of quality.
Good planning and organizational skills.
Willing to take initiative.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
