The VP, Business Development – List & Data Solutions supports our clients’ needs in the areas of list rental and data enrichment. The VP will be responsible for identifying, nurturing and closing sales opportunities, establishing and maintaining relationships with data partners, and partnering with product development staff to bring new list and data solutions to the market. A strong business development / sales track record, as well as operations management experience are required.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Grow and protect list rental and data enhancement revenue for current client accounts.
• Establish new client relationships.
• Lead end-to-end efforts supporting clients’ list rental and data enrichment needs, including thorough research, recommendations and back-end analysis.
• Partner with product development staff to bring new list and data solutions to the market.
• Maintain effective working relationships with list owners, data partners and internal production staff to ensure superior service to our clients.
• Negotiate agreements and pricing with list owners and data partners.
• Stay up to date with list rental and data enrichment solutions available in the market.
Required Experience, Skills and Education:
• 7 + years’ experience proactively selling list rental and / or data enrichment solutions.
• Solid understanding of CRM and multichannel / direct marketing principles.
• Proven track record of increasing revenue – both within existing accounts and from new accounts.
• Extensive experience developing and successfully executing upon sales plans.
• An innovative, positive and self-directed attitude. Interested in “figuring out” solutions to problems.
• Strong oral/written communication skills.
• Responsive, enthusiastic and team-oriented.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
