Performs advanced (senior-level) professional assistance work for the agency’s Office of General Counsel (OGC). Work involves overseeing and coordinating high-level administrative operations and providing administrative technical assistance for the OGC staff. Communicates with agency staff, other governmental agencies, monitoring groups, community organizations, and the general public. Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of other administrative support staff. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. May occasionally be required to work overtime.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree. Two years wage-earning experience providing administrative support or technical program support for an executive level position. A total of four years wage-earning experience that may be any combination of administrative support or technical program support, general office, or clerical experience. Completed graduate course hours may be substituted for up to two years of the required years of experience on a basis of 12 graduate course hours for one year of experience. The graduate course hours may not substitute for the two years of required experience providing administrative support or technical program support for an executive level position.

OR

High School diploma or GED. Two years wage-earning experience providing administrative support or technical program support experience for an executive level position. A total of eight years wage-earning experience that may be any combination of administrative support or technical program support, general office, or clerical experience. Completed undergraduate course hours may be substituted for up to four years of the required years of experience on a basis of 30 undergraduate course hours for one year of experience. The undergraduate course hours may not substitute for the two years of required experience providing administrative support or technical program support for an executive level position.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree with major course work in business administration, public administration, criminal justice, behavioral science or a related field.

Note: The degree and all course hours to meet the minimum requirements must be from an accredited college or university. Experience requirements may be satisfied by full-time experience or the prorated part-time equivalent.

11. Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders and maintain a professional, courteous demeanor.

12. Ability to process information logically, make decisions, and to demonstrate the soundness of those decisions.

13. Ability to plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others and lead and coordinate work assignments of employees engaged in many different tasks.

14. Ability to type at least 70 words per minute.
