Overview:

As part of BD Medical Surgical Systems overall 10 year comprehensive growth strategy, this global product marketing role is defined within the Worldwide Medical Surgical Systems business. The emphasis of job function is to conduct detailed opportunity identification, market landscape, market development, product development, launch and execution of strategic assessments primarily responsible for advancement of the Innovation strategy for Hypodermic and Anesthesia Systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for support of product concept development, development of brand and positioning strategies, preparation of novel Concept and Commercialization Reviews, and regional readiness for product and concept outputs
  • Drive the development and execution of multi-year market development strategies and tactics
  • Directly support and engage the world wide Medical Surgical Systems marketing staff, where they are jointly responsible for developing and maintaining market engagement, access and development plans to produce maximum sales, growth and profitability
  • Establish and maintain a strong competitive position through strategic and tactical identification of marketing opportunities

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or a life science or technical discipline
  • MBA in marketing or commensurate work experience
  • Suggested minimum of 5 years of business experience in the medical device industry with a minimum of 5 years in product and/or market management. Business experience may include marketing, sales, sales training, business development
  • Skilled as working with global teams and leading and executing team projects both remotely and in global (i.e. non-US) markets
  • Ability for travel up to 30% is required
