The Recruiter’s primary objectives are to: (1) identify People needs within the region with the assistance of restaurant and middle managers, and operations staff; and (2) aggressively source and attract outstanding candidates for crew and management positions for both current open positions and for new restaurant openings within the region.
The Recruiter works closely with Operations to find and hire outstanding applicants who embody the 13 Characteristics. The Recruiters do this by identifying new and effective recruiting sources, with a strong emphasis on grassroots recruiting.
The Recruiter promotes positive community relations and develops contacts that will promote Chipotle to employee candidates. The Recruiter coordinates and runs external job fairs, open houses, and community-based recruiting events. These efforts include all region- and market- wide recruitment initiatives.
The Recruiter plays a key role in working with the new restaurant opening team by working with operations to source, interview, and select outstanding and high potential employees for new restaurant openings.
The Recruiter ensures that all AMs/ATLs/TLs, and TDs are experts at interviewing and selecting potential top performers with all 13 Characteristics so they can train their GMs/Rs/R+s to do the same.
The Recruiter coordinates, screens and does the initial interviews for open staff positions within the region.
- B.A./B.S. in a related field or an equivalent in education and experience
- Solid knowledge and understanding of People functions and operations within Chipotle
- A proven track record of identifying talent, ensuring high standards and removing obstacles
