Train teammates on electronic medical record (EMR) systems -- both during New Teammate Orientation and for refresher training

Collaborates with teammates to create standardized training materials that facilitate efficient and effective workflows

Works with clinical staff and/or other teammates to modify clinical workflows to optimize both use of the EMR system and to improve patient care

Utilize Help Desk software for electronic tracking of any application support issues or training requests

Support training and maintenance of other applications and/or office automation software as required

Serves as a primary backup for general IT Orientation and training of teammates

Provides direct software application support and maintenance for an electronic medical record (EMR) system

Provides direct software application training/development for an electronic medical record (EMR) system

Enter Help Desk support requests into electronic tracking system

Answer clinical IT support communications (phone, email. Web form, etc.) related to EMR system

Resolve Tier 1, 2 and 3 Help Desk Requests related to EMR system

Provide support to end users on issues as needed by researching and resolving problems relating to EMR software and hardware

Maintain productivity levels as established by department management

Manage and maintain systems as assigned

Travel between sites as required; transport equipment between sites as required

Assist with projects as required

Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Manager

Required Skills

Current Texas RN or LVN license preferred

Three to five years in direct patient care/nursing/therapist role, preferably in a long-term post-acute care environment preferred

Three to Five years clinical nursing experience preferred

General understanding of clinical/nursing/therapist environment in a long-term post-acute care setting

Ability to teach complex clinical software applications to clinical end-users

Demonstrated ability to teach and lead a class room environment

1-2 years experience working with and/or supporting an electronic medical record (EMR) system

Information Technology experience using an electronic medical record (EMR)

1-2 years experience training and/or developing EMR application system programs

Previous Suncoast Solutions, PointClickCare and/or Rehab Optima experience preferred

Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

Ability to work with general direction on problems of unusual complexity

Ability to manage many functions and projects concurrently

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and computer literacy.
